From Minority Languages
to Global Insights

The Zoorna Institute is a nonprofit center for research and education at the intersection of language, AI, and society. We advance multilingual technologies and linguistic scholarship on low-resource languages, with a focus on the Middle East and the Caucasus, to ensure that technological progress benefits every community.

Advancing AI for the languages most often left behind

Our research focuses on low-resource and underrepresented languages, particularly those of the Middle East and the Caucasus.

We bring together linguistics, NLP, and social science to build tools that understand languages in their cultural and structural depth..

Training the next generation of multilingual AI thinkers

Through our AI4Her initiative, regional workshops, and custom curriculum, we:

  • teach the foundations of AI and NLP

  • promote multilingual and ethical design

  • support women and girls in becoming AI creators

  • build clear pathways into AI careers
